Con mucha emoción les comparto que mi blog fue presentado en la edición de verano 2012 de la Revista Artful Blogging... sí, fue en la edición del pasado verano, pero aún me siento feliz y agradecida por haber sido parte de esta bellísima revista....

i’m so excited to be featured in the summer 2012 issue of Artful Blogging Magazine.... yes it was on the last summer issue but I'm still feel happy and super thankful to be a part of this beautiful magazine!

Escribí un artículo y también incluyeron algunas de mis fotos! Es una de esas revistas en las que claramente se puede ver todo el amor y detalle.... cada página está muy bien construida y es una delicia para leer...! Si ya la conocen seguro que estarán de acuerdo conmigo... si no la han visto y les gusta leer acerca de hermosos e inspiradores blogs, les encantará la revista...

I wrote an article and it also includes some of my photos! Es un baby quilt que terminé hace un par de semanas pero que no les había mostrado. Lo hice para la babé de mi prima Marcy, la pequeña Lila Grace...
This is a baby quilt that I finished a couple of weeks ago and haven't shown you. I made it for my cousin's baby, the lovely Lila Grace...

siempre me ha gustado el simple patchwork de cuadros, y creo que al ser un diseño sencillo y tradicional siempre luce bien...!
I always like the easy patchwork, I think a simple and traditional desing always looks great...!

Lately

los días han pasado con calma entre desayunos tarde, sorbos de descafeinado (que no es mi favorito), sesiones de costura, siestas y visitas a la ciudad para arreglar pendientes...

También hace unos cuantos días recibí unos hermosos prints de la pintora Marisa Redondo, (ya los tengo enmarcados y están a la espera de que les encuentre su sitio en las paredes de la casa), el trabajo de Marisa es verdaderamente exquisito y si no conocen su tienda River Luna, les recomiendo que se den una vuelta, está llena de cosas hermosas!

these days have been passed quietly between late breakfast, lots of decaf (that isn't my favorite), sewing sessions, naps and short visits to the city...
Also a few days ago I received some prints from artist Marisa Redondo, (they are already framed and waiting for their place on my walls), Marisa's work is truly exquisite and if you don't know her shop River Luna, I really recommend that you go there, it's full of beautiful stuff!

Haciendo cosas para bebé... empecé con unos baberos y toallitas repetidoras para mi bebé, pero luego me descubrí eligiendo más telas y terminé haciendo una pila de baberos de estarán en mi tienda en esta semana...

making baby stuff... I started with some baby bibs and burp cloths, but then I found myself choosing more fabrics and I finished a pile of more baby bibs that will be in my shop this week...

mi embarazo ya está de 36 semanas, por fin ya estoy en casa, así que trataré de aprovechar bien el tiempo antes del parto... I'm 36 weeks pregnant already and finally I'm at home now, so I'll try to spend more time in my sewing room before the childbirth...

the weekend outside

Aún está todo verde por aquí. La temporada de lluvias de este año fue buena, así que los jardines y campos de la zona lucen abundantes e invitan a pasar tiempo afuera... y lo hemos estado haciendo... Everything is still green around here. This year the rain season was great so the gardens and fields are looking very fresh and lush and invite to spend time out... and we are doing it!

Alex está a punto de terminar nuestro gallinero y estamos muy emocionados con la idea de tener nuestras propias gallinas y aunque tendremos más trabajo y nuestros chuchos deberán acostumbrarse a la idea de tener su presencia en el jardín, la idea de consumir huevo producido en casa, hace que el trabajo extra valga la pena. Alex is almost finishing the hen house and we're very exciting about it and even if it'll give us more work to do and our dogs will must learn to share the space in the garden, the idea of we'll have eggs produced in home, makes worthwhile any extra work 

Este domingo pinta tranquilo por aquí, así que será un buen día para pasar tiempo también en el cuarto de costura...! this Sunday looks very paceful here, so it will be a great day to spend time at the sewing room too...!

cada mañana he disfrutando de una caminata... sintiendo cómo el viento tiene ya una temperatura diferente... viendo los cambios en el campo... I've been enjoying my morning walks....... feeling how is different the wind's temperature now... seeing the changes in the fields...

La bondad y la generosidad de la gente es increíble y es algo maravilloso de descubrir... Many many thanks from my heart. Your very kind comments and loving emails lifted my spirit at those very sad days. The goodness and generosity of people is so amazing and wonderful to find it...

Extraño muchísimo a Gumaro y trato de imaginarlo feliz y saludable. Él nos dio muchas lecciones a Alex y a mí, así que siempre estará en nuestro corazón. I miss Gumaro so much and I try to Imagine him happy and healthy. He taught so many lessons to Alex and me that he will always be in our heart.

Gracias por dejarme compartirlo con ustedes, estaré de regreso pronto.
