la semana pasada el cartero me trajo un paquete y con él me llegó mucho cariño y un montón de cosas hermosas que hizo mi querida amiga Chase... algunas para mí y otras para el bebé que viene en camino... aquí les comparto lo que recibí...

...lo primero que vi fue un hermoso baby quilt! qué sorpresa más linda! me encantan las telas que usó y el fondo azul... ella hizo un maravilloso trabajo con el acolchado y me encanta el detalle del bies... ...the first think I saw was a gorgeous baby quilt! such wonderful surprise! love the fabrics she used and the blue background... she made a wonderful job with the quilting and I really like the scrappy detail in the bies...

 y venía acompañado de un lindísimo y moderno babero...!

así como dos lindísimos mini quilts, que serán los compañeros del te o café de la tarde... me encanta el trabajo del patchwork y sobretodo el acholchado a mano...

i found two lovely mini quilts that will be the perfect companion for my tea or coffee... love the simple patchwork and especially the hand quilting...

y además ella me envió estas lindas telas...!

and also she sended me those pretty fabrics...! 

muchas gracias Chase, realmente fue muy emocionante abrir cada regalito y saber que todo fue hecho con mucho cariño para mí y mi bebé...

finally friday!

es viernes y no terminé nada de lo que tenía planeado hacer para esta semana, pero recordé que no les había mostrado algo que hice el año pasado... It's Friday already and I didn't finish anything of what I had planned to do this week, but I remembered i have something I made last year but I didn't show you yet.

Es un mini quilt que hice para mi querida amiga Chase. Cuando elegí las telas en colores sólidos tuve dudas en si a ella le gustaría, pues no recuerdo haber visto nada que ella hiciera usando sólidos, pero decidí arriesgarme, pues creo que es lindo cuando recibes algo que es totalmente diferente a lo que uno mismo hace. Fue una combinación moderna de grises, azules y verde... y a ella le gustó!

It's a mini quilt I made for my dear friend Chase. When I chose the fabrics in solid colors I had doubts if she would like them, I don't remember seeing anything that she made using just solid fabrics, but I decided take the risk, because I think it's great when you get something that is totally different from what you usually does . It was a modern combination of gray, blue and green ... and she liked it!

días de Bazar

los días en el bazar pasaron rápido. Aunque Alex y yo estuvimos muy cansados desde el inicio por todo el trabajo previo que tuvimos, la experiencia ahí fue realmente increíble y de alguna forma estimulante, pues creo que aunque en Etsy existe el feedback, lo cierto es que no  hay como ver el rostro y la sonrisa de la gente que se acercó a nuestro stand, además de que escuchar que les gustó lo que hacemos nos hizo el día....

The bazaar's days passed really quickly. Although Alex and I were very tired since the beginning for all the previous work we had, the experience there was truly incredible and stimulating, because even when in Etsy exists the feedback, the truth is that there is nothing like see the face and the smile of people that was approaching to our stand and listen to they like our work made ​​our day.... 

además fue chidísimo porque conocimos gente nueva y talentosa que está haciendo cosas super lindas... quienes espero me disculpen que hasta ahora caigo en la cuenta de que aunque les compré a algunos de ellos e hice buenos trueques con otros, en todo el fin de semana no hice un tour por todo el bazar con cámara en mano para compartir sus creaciones... we met many talented people who are creating amazing stuff...  who I hope will forgive me  because I realize until now that although I bought from some of them and also I had wonderful swaps, I didn't a tour with camera in hand to share their creations...

Ojalá que el comercio local comience a crecer cada vez más en la ciudad y que la gente se de la oportunidad de probar nuevos productos que no son hechos en serie ni en grandes corporaciones... I hope that local commerce begins to grow more in the city and people give the opportunity to know new products that aren't made ​​in series or in big corporations...

esta semana el correo me trajo un montón de cariño y de cosas lindas que les quiero compartir... El mes pasado tuve un intercambio organizado por Anna... así que hice y le envié una bolsa, té y algunas cositas más a Carmen.... y esta semana recibí una linda y útil bolsa de red que Mary me envió junto con una deliciosa dotación de té y chocolates... gracias Mary, no he podido parar de comer esos ricos Ghirardelli!!

This week the mail brought me a lot of love and beautiful things that I want to share here ... Last month I participated in a swap organized by Anna... I sent to Carmen a handmade grocery bag, tea and some more things.... and this week I received a beautiful and useful net bag that Mary sent me along with delicious tea and chocolates ... Thanks so much Mary, I can't stop to eat those delicious Ghirardelli!

unos días después y de forma inesperada llegó un paquete lleno de cariño y con una linda pila de telas que Karen me envió, gracias amiga, fue una sorpresa super linda y esas telitas tendrán un buen uso! some days later and unexpectedly I got a package full of love and with a lovely pile of fabrics that Karen sent me! thanks a lot my friend, it was a beautiful surprise and those great fabrics will have a good use!

y finalmente otro intercambio...  recibí esos hermosos sellos que Rike me envió desde Alemania... me encantan!! si quieren ver más de sus diseños visiten su tienda que está llena de cosas lindas! ...Danke!

Lately

He tenido algunos días difíciles a causa del trabajo que hicieron que no estuviera disfrutando las cosas buenas que tiene mi vida... sin embargo aveces sólo se necesita de una nueva mañana para hacer una pausa y darme cuenta que no hay razón para no sentirse bien, que la belleza y la amabilidad y el amor a nuestro alrededor es suficiente para dibujar una sonrisa y tranquilizar el alma...  I've had some tough days at work that made I wasn't enjoying the good things in my life ... however, sometimes just we need a new morning to make pause and realize that there is no reason for not feeling great, that beauty, kindness and love aroung us is enough to draw a smile and calm the soul...

y hablando de algunas de esas cosas que nos hacen felices, tengo rosas en casa que me trajo mi querido tío Sergio y Valerie también hizo mi día cuando recibí su paquete lleno de cariño... gracias Valerie! adoro mi nuevo collar y todas las cosas bellas que enviaste...! and talking about nice things, I have roses at home that my dear uncle Sergio gave me in past days and Valerie made ​​my day when I received a package full of kindness... buenos días! espero que todos hayan tenido un muy buen fin de semana!

mi fin de semana fue muy tranquilo... aparte de hacer una visita de familia, la mayor parte del tiempo la pasé cosiendo, tomando limonada y probablemente comiendo de más...

mine was very quiet... apart from visiting family I spent most of it sewing, drinking lemonade and probably eating too much...

...además, el cartero me trajo una linda sorpresa al entregarme un paquete de Canadá... eran unos hermosos aretes que hizo mi querida amiga Iveth, de la tienda Angry Weather, y los gané en un sorteo del blog heartmade.... son chidísimos y estoy tan feliz con ellos que no pude evitar tomarme una foto para mostrárselos ;) perdón por este episodio de vanidad, pero es de esas veces que alguien que está muy muy lejos hace algo lindo para tí y simplemente te dibuja una sonrisa... gracias Iveth!

...also the postman surprised me with a lovely parcel from Canada... it was a beautiful earrings made by my dear friend Iveth, from the Angry Weather, because I won a giveaway from the heartmade blog.... my earrings are soooo amazing and as silly girl I am, let me show you how they look on me ;) sorry about this vanity thing,  but is like  those times that someone who is very far away from you makes something really nice for you that you just can't stop to smile...thank you so much Iveth!}

Creo que este tema fue muy previsible para mí, pues cualquiera que me visite ha de saber que mis tres perros y mi gata son mis "cuatro patas" favoritos. I believe this theme was very predictable to me, for anyone who visit me already know that my three dogs and my cat are my fours favorites.

Lucio no la ha pasado bien las últimas semanas. Duró más de 15 días con collar isabelino además de verse limitado para salir al jardín con los demás y correr y brincar libremente. Sus heridas ya sanaron pero su lesión en la pata continúa y esta semana volverá a visitar al médico. Es un buen perro. Es un dulce perro al que todos los que no lo conocen le temen porque no saben que él lo único que quiere es jugar, meterse a la fuente y lamerte la cara...    muchas gracias a todos los que han preguntado por su salud, él les manda a todos muchos besos mojados!        Lucio, has not great time in recent weeks. Lasted over 15 days with Elizabethan Collar as well as being limited to go into the garden with his buddies to run and jump freely. His wounds have healed but his injury to his leg continues and this week he'll visit the doctor again. He is a good dog. He's a sweet dog that all who don't knows him feels fear because they don't know that all he wants is play, get a shower at the fountain and lick your face ... thank you very much too all of you who asked me about his health, he sends many wet kisses to all!

los últimos días de febrero

Febrero un mes que pasó casi sin darnos cuenta, que nos hizo sentir aquí los primeros días cálidos del año y las ganas de pasar más tiempo en el jardín...

February was a month that went almost without notice it, it made we felt the first warm days of the year here and desire to spend more time in the garden ...

Las cosas en casa no han sido fácil en esta semana, entre el trabajo en la oficina que ha crecido montones y atendiendo a Lucio que no siguió bien. En menos de una semana tuvo tres visitas al veterinario y pasó ahí dos noches, tuvo dos férulas en su pierna y mucha energía desbordándole que no ayuda en su recuperación.... ahora está aquí, con algunas laceraciones y tratando que la sábila sea su mejor amiga y lo ayude a sanar pronto...

Things at home have not been easy this week, between office work that has grown so much and take care of Lucio, who wasn't good. In less than a week he had three visits to the vet, spent two nights there, had two splint on his leg and lots of spilling energy.... Now he is here, with some lacerations and trying that the aloe plant be his best friend and help him to heal...

y entre el caos del hogar, los días buenos y los no tanto, recibí una gran sorpresa de Susan, quien me envió un gran paquete lleno de telas hermosas, justo cuando necesitaba distraerme en algo... muchas gracias amiga, me hiciste el día y tu regalo se me antoja para un quilt con un look boho.... ya veremos qué sale de ahí...

and between all the home chaos, with those good days and the not so much great, I received a big surprise from Susan, who sent me a great package full of beautiful fabrics, just when I needed something to distract me...  many thanks my friend, you made my day, and I was thinking that your gift is perfect to make a quilt with a boho look .... we'll see what comes from them...

fue una buena semana, con mucho qué hacer en el trabajo, pero con cosas buenas en casa, pues descubrimos que nuestros tomates comienzan a tomar color y ya tienen un sabor dulce... that was a great week, with a lot to do at work, but really good at home... we discovered that our tomatoes start to have color and they have a sweet taste...

tuvimos una venta en nuestra tienda y estoy trabajando en algo nuevo, reutilizable... we had a sale at our shop and i'm working in something new, something reusable...

todavía existe generosidad en la gente: desde España recibí un grandioso regalo de Jane, una de sus bellísimas fotografías (que puedes encontrar en su tienda), ella me hizo el día!! gracias Jane, eres chidísima!!! generosity still exists in people: from Spain I received a fantastic gift from Jane, one of her beautiful photographs (that you can find at her shop), ohh she makes my day!! many many thanks Jane, you are so cool!
