The truth is that there is no celebration of Valentine's Day at my house. It never seems like a special day to me and even when you can see in the streets from the first days of February, how marketing works to consume hearts, flowers, balloons, decorations in red, chocolares and stuffed animals, it just seems to me that, a a very good time to sell.
But I'm not saying that I'm fought with the romance or that I don't like to have special moments with Alex or friends, just I think it's not necessary to have one day a year to do something special, I think that you can do (and can have) something special any day of the year and I like that idea. I also believe that when you having kind of expectations in some "special" celebrations can make that if you don't get it, you'll have a disappointment feeling.
And without any expectation on that day, this time I was nicely surprised by a lovely friend with beautiful tulips and that feels so nice... !!
feliz corner view!

I love to spread love no matter what day it is. Valentine's Day gives me a day to double up the love. xo
ResponderEliminarYes, love is for everyday...and sometime we forget so I love Valentine's Day for that but you are totally right.
ResponderEliminarha well! tulips... the perfect companion for early spring. you have made one beautiful photo of the bouquet too. i agree on your weariness about valentine. i'm hopelessly romantic, so i think alot about it, but since i'm single... ;)))
ResponderEliminarI agree with you. Lovely tulips too :)
ResponderEliminarOh! Mis flores favoritas! Que belleza! Gracias! Besos!
ResponderEliminarBeautiful tulips. Perfect for this day... and all the days... We have to celebrate love every day...
ResponderEliminarIn French, there is a sort of quote saying : make love, not shopping ;)
Have a nice day :)
EXACTLY !!! we're on the same wavelength girl ! (despite the red roses I unexpectedly had this year ! weird !)
ResponderEliminarI love your tulip shot !
Ditto on all of that! We don't celebrate it here either but every day when I come home from work tired, my boyfriend has the couch and blankets ready and made up and is making me tea, so I can just sit down and relax. That is worth more to me than roses on valentine's day :) Lovely tulips though!
ResponderEliminarSeems as we have absolutely the same opinion about the topic! There are 365 days per year to celebrate love! ;)
Ibabe
I agree with you, although our kids love any excuse for a treat :)
