Recuerdo que cuando comencé a cortar las telas para hacer este quilt, estaba segura de que sólo me tomaría un par de semanas tenerlo completo... pero por una cosa u otra, después de coser un poco pasó bastante tiempo pegado sobre mi pared, luego tuve el problema del hilo y bueno, después de 4 meses desde que corté las telas, finalmente ya está terminado.
I remember when I started cutting the fabrics to make this quilt, I was pretty sure it only could take me a few weeks to finish it... but after sewing a little, the pieces were on my wall for long time, then I had the thread issue and well, after 4 months since I was cutting the fabrics, finally it is ready.

La medida final es 67"x98" y queda perfecto para una cama individual o para tomar una siesta en un soleado día sobre el pasto...   The final size is 67"x98" and it fits perfect for a twin bed or to take a nap in a sunny day on the grass...

Existen muchos artistas talentosos, algunos con más reconocimiento que otros, pero al brindarnos su obra pueden provocar, sólo con contemplarlos, con escucharlos, leerlos, diversos sentimientos que hacen que uno senta que se desbordan de nuestro cuerpo. Pintura, escultura, música, danza, escritura... es difícil para mí tener un favorito... sin embargo, al pensar en ello vino a mi mente mi poeta favorito: Jaime Sabines.

There are many talented artists, some with more recognition than others, but all they give us theire work and can make only by contemplate, listen or read, different feelings that make you feel that your body is overflowing. Painting, sculpture, music, dance, writing ... is difficult for me to have a favorite ... however,  thinking about it came to my mind my favorite poet, Jaime Sabines.

La luna
La luna se puede tomar a cucharadas

The Moon

coloring monday or weekend cleaning

hola! el fin de semana estuvo muy tranquilo aquí, que sirvió para hacer limpieza en mi cuarto de costura, limpiar y reorganizar las telas, descubrir cosas que tenía olvidadas ahí y continuar trabajando con viejos y nuevos proyectos...

y este lunes me quedo con estas coloridas imágenes que creo que pueden ayudar para hacer algo lindo en la semana...

We had a very calm weekend, it was perfect for cleaning my sewing room, cleaning the shelves, reorganized and tidying the fabrics, discovering things I had forgotten there and continue working with old and new projects ...

This Monday I'll keep with these colorful images that I believe they can help to make something nice in the week...

Terminé un camino de mesa y realmente me encantó! fue completamente improvisado, usando tejidos de algodón y lino que fueron cosidos al azar... disfruté mucho este trabajo. Me gusta cómo lucen los quilts modernos e improvisados y creo que este es mucho como eso... y ahora está en mi tienda...

I finished a table runner, and I LOVE it a lot!! It was totally improv, just cotton wovens and linen, randomly sewed together... i really enjoyed work with this runner. I love modern, wonky, unmeasured quilts, and I think this is pretty much like that... and it is in my shop now...

qué es orgánico? lo que crece de forma natural? una certificación, comida más cara? buena salud? un estilo de vida? un negocio creciente y exitoso de los últimos años? no lo se, pero por momentos me parece un poco de todo eso... mientras tanto, elijo intentar cada vez más por mi cuenta, las opciones naturales que tengo y contemplar las formas orgánicas, que me maravillan...

what organic means? what grows in a natural way? a certification? expensive food? good health? a lifestyle? a successful business? I don't know, but at the moments It seems to be a little of all that... meanwhile, I choose try by my own, the natural options I have and contemplate the organic forms, who are wonderful...!
