dots on blue

I remember when I started cutting the fabrics to make this quilt, I was pretty sure it only could take me a few weeks to finish it... but after sewing a little, the pieces were on my wall for long time, then I had the thread issue and well, after 4 months since I was cutting the fabrics, finally it is ready.

The desing if by the talented Bill Kerr and Weeks Ringle from Fun Quilts and it was published at "Quilts and more" magazine, spring 2010, but you can download the pattern  (for free!) here.

The desing is very simple and modern, I love it!

The final size is 67"x98" and it fits perfect for a twin bed or to take a nap in a sunny day on the grass...

feliz semana para todos!
a happy week for everyone!

  1. Wow! I love it! The blue you chose for the sashing strips is just right, and the grouped parallel quilting complements the design perfectly. And Lucio makes a fine accessory.

  2. This is so lovely! After seeing your "My Guy" quilt I immediately copied the pattern - made it a little bigger - and used Kona charcoal and Anna Maria Horner's Good Folks for a friend's 40th!! What a great pattern! This one is great, too, I copied it from All Quilts the other day! I love seeing it done in other colors! BRAVO!!!
