we're having warmer days that are every time more noticeable in the garden... I'm not a big fan of hot days but I can't wait to wear sandals again!

Rainy days

Después de varios días de mucho calor y humedad, parece que la temporada de lluvias ha iniciado por acá. Han caído varias tormentas y ahora todo está fresco y el paisaje luce como recién lavado. Me encanta esta época del año que todo lo pone verde...

After many days with a lot ot heat and humidity, it seems like the rain season is begun. They have fallen a few storms and everything is fresh and the landscape looks like freshly washed. I love this time of year that everything turns green ...

it's beautiful outside

ohhh la primavera! tan anhelada y querida por todos!

ohhh spring! so longed and loved by all!

Hemos tenido unas semanas llenas de buenos momentos en casa. Yo tuve algunos días libres del trabajo y disfruté muchisimo este clima cálido. Sabina quiere pasar la mayor parte del tiempo en el jardín, y no la culpo, pues todo está verde, floreando: en el huerto (casi) todo creciendo...las zarzamoras no han dejado de brotar y pintarse de color y los árboles de mango ya tienen frutos... En nuestro gallinero, la semana pasada comenzaron a nacer pollitos, así que estar afuera tumbados al pasto o descansando en la hamaca es irresistible..

We've had a week full of good times at home. I had some days off from work and I enjoyed a lot this warm weather. Sabina wants to spend most of the time in the garden, and can't blame her, because everything is green and in bloom: in the raised beds (almost) everything is growing beautifully... the blackberries have continued to sprout and getting color and the mango trees have small fruits already... in our coop, started to born cute little chicks last week , so being outside lying on the grass or resting in the hammock is irresistible ..

sweet pea

El otoño pasado sembramos por primera vez chícharos en la huerta. Así que además de coles, lechugas, acelgas, espinacas hemos tenido una buena cosecha de chícharos. Su textura suave y sabor dulce hacen que sea irresistible comerlos recién cortados... y a Sabina le encantan!

Last fall we planted peas for the first time in our garden. So in addition to cabbage, lettuce, chard, spinach we had a very good crop of peas. Its soft texture and sweet taste makes it irresistible eat freshly cut... and Sabina loves!

esta temporada, pese a las fuertes lluvias que tuvimos en diciembre, nuestro pequeño huerto luce radiante y lleno de vegetales, realmente es un desperdicio no sembrar nada teniendo el clima del que gozamos...!

this season, despite the heavy rain we had last December, our little garden is radiant and full of vegetables, so it is totally a waste do not plant anything, having the good weather that we enjoy the most of the year here..!

bye bye September

Me resulta increible que Septiembre se ha ido y el año cada vez más avanza a su fin. Tuvimos semanas de intensas lluvias, con consecuencias lamentables en muchas partes del país, pero el mes terminó dándonos algunos días de sol que espero que estén reconfortando y dando esperanza a muchos.

Aquí, los campos de alrrededor comienzan a ponerse en colores ocres. En casa, el jardín luce radiante y los habitantes de nuestro gallinero cada vez están más grandes y están aprendiendo a convivir con un nuevo integrante, nuestro guapo guajotote llamado Rigoberto. Yo trato de pasar el mayor tiempo posible con mi niña, que cada vez está más grande y parece que no se quiere perder nada de lo que pasa a su alrrededor.

Is incredible that September is gone and the year is close to its end. Here we had weeks of heavy rain, with unfortunate consequences in many parts of the country, but the month ended giving us some sunny days than I hope they are comforting and giving hope to many others.

The fields around here begin to get in ocher. At home, the garden looks radiant and the population of our chicken coop are becoming larger and learning to live with a new member, the handsome turkey named Rigoberto. I try to spend as much time with my baby girl, which is becoming bigger and seems she dont want to miss anything that happens around her.
