Les muestro un mini quilt o tapete para la taza que terminé hace unos días. Lo hice usando algunos de mis tejidos a rayas favoritos y una suave  mezclilla... es un pequeño regalo para una querida amiga, espero que le guste... This is a mini quilt or mug rug that I finished just few days ago. I made it using some of my favorite stripe wovens and a soft denim... its a little gift for a lovely friend, hope she likes it...

y hablando de regalos... mil gracias por todos los comentarios en el post del sorteo!! Realmente disfruté leer lo que les gusta regalar en las fiestas y me encantó que también les gusta regalar cosas hechas a mano o vintage. Les cuento que desde hace unos años Alex y yo no damos regalos de navidad, simplemente decidimos no dejarnos llevar por el hábito compulsivo del consumo, pero hacia fin de año sí me gusta dar un pequeño detalle a algunas personas que estuvieron cerca de nosotros durante todo el año y lo que regalo me gusta hacerlo yo misma o comprar algo artesanal... así que gracias por las nuevas ideas, las tendré en cuenta! and talking about gifts.... thanks a lot for all your comments on the giveaway's post!! I really enjoyed read what you like to make as a gift on holidays and I love the idea that you also like give handmade or vintage presents too. A few years ago Alex and I decided not give christmas presents anymore, just because we dont want get carried away by the compulsive habit of consumption, but by the end of each year I like to give a small detail to some people who were close to us throughout the year and I like make the gifts or buy something handmade... so thanks for the new ideas, I'll have in mind!

Hola! les cuento emocionada que después de que Alex me hizo el soporte de madera para mis cintas, hizo más para mi tienda, así que ahora tengo un colaborador y me encanta que sea él... si quieren ver los modelos que terminó sólo pinchen aquí  ...lucen lindos, verdad?

Hello! I'm so excited to tell you that after Alex made the wooden holder for my tapes, he decided make more of them for my store, so is like I have a partner  now and I love it...! If you want to see his new tape holders just click here   ...they look pretty, right?

y algo más que tengo para compartir... el año pasado Alex y yo regalamos a nuestros familiares y amigos un calendario de 2011, como un presente de fin de año. En ese tiempo Alex me dijo que por qué no hacía un calendario con algunas de mis fotos... fue sólo una idea, pero teniendo en cuenta que se acercan de nuevo las fiestas, hace unas semanas decidí hacerlo y les presento mi recién llegado calendario 2012! es algo especial para mí, pues las fotos que elegí han sido algunas de mis favoritas que he publicado aquí, por lo que definitivamente está ligado con mi blog y la relación que tengo con todos ustedes, algo que verdaderamente aprecio mucho...♥ ♥ ♥

and I have something else to share ... Last year Alex and I gave to out family and friends a handmade calendar 2011, as present for holidays. At that time Alex said me it would be great make a calendar using some of my photos ... it was just an idea, but considering that holidays are comming again, a few weeks ago I decided to do it, and finally I present you my calendar 2012! it's special to me because I chose the some of my favorite photos I've posted here, so it's definitely linked to my blog and the relationship I have with you, something that I really appreciate it...♥ ♥ ♥
Decidí imprimir una edición de 50 calendarios. Algunos calendarios los haré llegar a nuestros familiares y amigos al fin de este año, otros tantos los tengo disponibles en mi tienda pero también quiero compartirlo con ustedes.
I decided to print an edition of 50 calendars. Some of them, will be gifts to our family and friends at the end of this year, I decide to put a few of them in my shop but also I want to share them with you.

Es una buena temporada para salir a caminar... respirar aire fresco y ver cosas lindas... como esta ventana, que me encanta!   Its a great season to go out for a walk, get some fresh air and see nice things... like this beautiful window, I love it!

...decidí tener en mi tienda un pequeño stock de estambre o cuerda de yute. Es el mismo que uso para envolver regalos y los paquetes que envío a mis queridos clientes. Es muy bonito y me encanta porque le da un toque rústico y natural a las envolturas de regalos y también se puede tejer, con gancho o aguja, usar en el jardín y muchas cosas más... así que con mucho gusto compartiré una madeja de estambre con quien quiera tenerlo, sólo tienen que dejar un comentario diciéndome cuál color les gustaría tener en caso de ganar (pueden ver todas las opciones de colores aquí). I decided to have a little stock of jute yarn/twine in my shop. Its the same twine that I use to wrap gifts and the packages I send to my lovely costumers. It's really beautiful and I love it because it gives a rustic and natural touch to the gifts wrap and also it can be knitted, use in the garden and much more ... so I'll be happy to share a skein of yarn with one lucky one who wants it, only leave one comment here telling me wich color you would like if you win (you can see all the color options here). the week (and the winners)

Perdón por el silencio de estos días, pero es que lo que debió ser una semana tranquila y de relax, se convirtió en puro ajetreo... hemos tenido visitas en casa y comidas al aire libre...    Sorry about the silence of these days, but what should have been a calm and relax week became just the opposite... every day we had visits and outside meals...También han sido días de sol y de viento... lamentablemente también desde el miércoles ha habido incendios en nuestro bosque y aunque el fuego no ha estado cerca de nuestra casa, sí lo han visto de cerca muchos de nuestros vecinos. Alex ha estado constantemente ayudando, de día y de noche y hace que me sienta orgullosa de él...     Also they have been days of sun and many wind ... unfortunately also since Wednesday has been forest fires, and although the fire has not been close to our house, many of our neighbors saw the flames pretty close to their homes. Alex has been constantly helping, day and night,  and makes me feel proud of him.

Sólo espero que el fin de semana sea más calmado y nos de oportunidad de descansar un poco antes de volver al trabajo... Just I hope the weekend will be calm and give us a chance to rest a bit before returning to work...

Some time ago Alex asked me what is the use for a mini quilt like this... I explained to him, that it's about have the creative work of someone in a small size, but he is still questioning about how useful it could be a quilt who measures 26" x 32"...

yo creo que puede usarse simplemente montado en una pared... también como un pequeño tapete al lado de la cama... I think it that can be used on a wall ("wall hanging")... also like small rug beside the bed...

March sunday

nuestro primer domingo de marzo luce bien, el clima aún está fresco pero se comienza a sentir que pronto buscaremos las sandalias que hemos olvidado desde hace tiempo... nuestro jardín está cambiando y los árboles ya presentan las primeras flores y hojas tiernas... our first sunday March looks great, the weather is still fresh but it feels like you will look soon for the sandals we've forgotten for a long time... our garden is changing and the trees are in the first flowers and young leaves...

y marzo es perfecto para iniciar nuevos proyectos, tal vez uno portable, para hacerlo sentada en el porche mientras se escuchan ya los pájaros alrededor... and march is perfect to starting new proyects, maybe one portable, to make it while i'm sitting on the porch listening the birds around...
