lately

ha habido mucho silencio en el blog en los últimos meses...todo está bien, en casa lo que menos hay es silencio con el bullicio constante de Sabina, quien entre pláticas, canciones, risas y llanto, nos mantiene muy ocupados. Toda la familia hemos tenido momentos maravillosos con nuestro bebé David que crece y crece rapidísimo ... !

this blog has been very quiet in recent months ... in home all is great and there is not silence here with the constant bustle of Sabina, who between talks, songs, laughter and tears, keeps us busy. All the family are having wonderful time with our baby David who grows and grows very fast ...!

la confesión del hoy... es que estoy embarazada!!

is that I’m pregnant!!

tengo 18 semanas y estamos muy felices, aunque también han sido unos meses difíciles porque me he sentido muy cansada... es por eso que no he estado muy productiva últimamente... pero pareciera que la energía está volviendo! yay!!

I'm 18 weeks and we’re very happy over here, though it’s been a hard couple of months feeling very tired... that is why I haven't been very productive lately... but it seems like energy is comming back! yay!!

Ayer hice una cubierta para mi cafetera...

hoy descubrí pequeños tesoros que tenía guardados y que espero pronto usar...

y les presumo la piedra que mi hermana pintó para mí hace unos días...

I made a cozy cover for my french press yesterday...

Today I found those small treasures that I had saved and I hope use them soon...

and I'm showing you the lovely stone that my sister painted for me few days ago...

busy days

algunos aquí la pasan bien, sin complicaciones...

some guys are having good time here, without complications...

he tenido días de mucho trabajo en la casa y en la oficina, así que estoy deseando que llegue pronto el fin de semana... pero quería pasar por aquí para decir hola y espero que todos estén disfrutando de un maravilloso final de verano..!     I've had very busy days at home and the office and I'm wishing the weekend starts soon... just i wanted to came here and say hi! hope you all are having a great late summer!

hoy no nos despertamos temprano, no fue planeado y es de esas mañanas en que desde que abres los ojos te sientes bien por haber pasado una buena noche... we don't woke up early today, it wasn't planned and is one of those mornings when you have a happy feeling since you are open your eyes for having had a good night...

y parece que todos decidieron seguir en la cama.... así que sigo vagando un poco en casa, con  mi café en mano, antes de comenzar verdaderamente el día..... and looks like all decided to stay in bed.... so I am wandering a bit at home with my coffee in hand, before the day really starts to me.....

Hemos tenido un montón de hermosas nubes grises todos estos días, aunque por momentos parecen apartarse para dejar que pase un poco de sol...    There have been some very gorgeous grey rainclouds over here these last couple of days, but occasionally they have parted to let through some bright sunshine... 

yo he estado felizmente escondida en mi cuarto de costura todos estos días y puedo decirte que ha sido chidísimo! sólo vine porque quería decir hola... espero poder mostrar pronto lo que he estado haciendo aquí!

I've been happily tucked up in my sewing room all day long, I can tell you it has been blissful!  just I wanted to come here and say hello...  hope I can show you what I've been doing here soon!

Sunday random moments

Ha sido un buen fin de semana en casa, disfrutando del sol  y en casa, cosiendo y cocinando un poco... en el jardín las flores siguen brotando, mis suculentas están esplendorosas y algunas con flor, como la de la foto (que no conozco su nombre real)...   Camila ha estado muy apegada a mí siguiéndome dentro y fuera de casa, ya no tan apartada como antes y eso me encanta!

Has been a wonderful weekend here, we were enjoying the sun having great moments at home, sewing and cooking a bit... the garden continuous blooming and my succulents are just gorgeous and a few of them are flowering, like the one in the photo (I don't know the real name)... Camilla has been so close to me, inside or outside of home, just following my steps, and I love it!

Aún falta más de un mes para la primavera, pero los días aquí cada vez son más cálidos, aunque con viento, mañanas y noches un poco frías, pero soleados la mayor parte del tiempo... qué más se puede hacer si no disfrutarlo?

There is still over a month for spring, but the days here are getting warmer, windy, and a little cool at nights and mornings but sunny the most of the time ... What else we can do than enjoy it?

2010

2010 fue un año maravilloso.

Alex y yo gozamos de buena salud. En casa iniciamos nuestra huerta y empezamos a disfrutar de nuestra cosecha. También tuvimos una espléndida temporada de lluvia.  Lola y Camila llegaron a la familia. Abrí mi tienda Etsy y concluí muchos quilts y proyectos de costura....

2010 was a wonderful year.

Alex and I enjoyed very good health. At home we start our edible garden and we ate from there. We had a splendid rain season too. Lola and Camila came to our family. I opened my Etsy shop and I finished many quilts and sewing proyects....

Y todo el tiempo estuve acompañada por todos ustedes que visitan mi blog y me alegran el día con sus comentarios. Muchas gracias!

La luna estuvo maravillosa esta semana, la viste?

Así como los días de calma que tuvimos en casa. Decidí hacerme un regalo y ahora me siento como niña con juguete nuevo. Estos días han comenzado como siempre, con café, compañía canina y música pero he tenido más tiempo para coser. Ayer cociné pavo por primera vez y ahora sigo disfrutando del delicioso pay de queso que hizo mi mamá.

Comencé a trabajar en dos nuevos quilts que serán regalo para unas personas queridas, también he estado pensando en nuevos productos para mi tienda y  he utilizando mis letras vintage de madera que adquirí en la hermosa tienda de Lori. Realmente fue una buena semana.

The moon was really wonderful this week, do you saw it?

we had calm days at home. I decided to get a gift to myself and I feel like a child with a new toy. These days have started as usual with coffee, canine companion and music but I had more time to sew. I cooked turkey for the first time yesterday and now I'm still enjoying the delicious cheesecake made by my mom .

I started two new quilts that will be a gift for some people I love, also I've been thinking about new items for my shop and I've been using my vintage wood letterpress that I got from Lori's beautiful shop. It was a really good week.
