nuestra pequeña fuente que tenemos en casa... que refresca con sólo escucharla... this is the little fountain in our house ... it refreshes us just hear the sound...

{la penosa verdad en este corner view es que la fuente más famosa en mi ciudad tiene también una estatua... es La Minerva y está situada en una glorieta donde concurren dos de las principales avenidas de la ciudad, es uno de los lugares más representativos de la ciudad y favorito para festejar victorias de futbol... era perfecta para este tema... pero no me fue posible tomar fotografías durante estos días... the painful truth in this corner view is that the most famous fountain in my city also has a statue ... is La Minerva and she is situated on a roundabout, crossed by two of the main avenues of the city, is one of the most representative places of the city and a favorite to celebrate football victories... it was perfect for this theme... but I couldn't take photos at last days...}

my week in photos...

hubo un poco de todo...cociné para mi mamá, corté telas para un nuevo proyecto... pasé tiempo en el jardín, probando los primeros tomates y disfrutando de un buen clima (los quilts no sólo se usan en invierno!) ... por supuesto que gran parte de mis días también lo paso en mi trabajo... pero creo que sería aburrido mostrar fotos de mí leyendo en una oficina, verdad?

There was a bit of everything ...I was cooking for my mom, I cut fabric for a new project ... I spent time in the garden, tasting the first tomatoes and enjoying good weather (the quilts are not used only in winter!)... ... also there is the time time that I spend on my work... but i think it can be to boring if I show you pictures of me reading in an office, right?

crecí en una casa sin jardín y ahora tengo la fortuna de tener uno...

I grew up in a house without a garden and now I have been lucky to have one ...

para mí tener un jardín no se trata de un área de ornato, es un lugar que compartimos con aves y bichos, es un lugar que necesita trabajo y esfuerzo y que nos regala tranquilidad como ningún otro... que nos permite soñar sólo con ver el mecer de los árboles...

además de disfrutarlo, estamos enfocados en hacer poco a poco, nuestro jardín lo más comestible posible. Nos gusta cuidarlo y nos sentimos muy dichosos de tener nuestra propia área verde en casa..!

have a garden is not just an ornament area for me, is a place that we share with birds and bugs, is a place that needs a lot of work and effort and gives us peace of mind like no other... it allows us to dream while we are watching the movement of the trees...

we are enjoying it and also, we're focused on little by little, making our garden most edible as possible. We like to take care of it and we feel very fortunate to have our own green zone at home...!

without my sewing machine...

sin mi máquina de coser por los próximos 6 días! la tarde del viernes comenzó a fallar y como el sábado fue un día inhábil aquí (día del trabajo), hasta hoy pude llevarla a revisar... la parte buena es que la reparación entrará en la garantía y no me costará ni un peso... así que mientras la reparan y me la entregan, estaré escogiendo y cortando las telas para un nuevo quilt que tengo en mente...

....aunque debo decir que se siente extraño no tenerla a la mano, pues aunque sólo la utilizo en mis ratos libres, siempre está ahí, disponible para cualquier cosa que yo quiera hacer... y ahora que no la tengo en casa, pareciera que yo tuvera mil cosas que hacer con ella...

ya se dieron cuenta que es mayo? ha pasado rápido este año, verdad? recuerdo haberme emocionado con el cambio de estación en marzo y ahora cada día, el calor va en aumento y mayo es de los meses más calurosos aquí y a veces las noches pueden convertirse en algo parecido a un sauna... lo que hace añorar el clima fresco... lo que muestra que no estamos conformes con lo que tenemos, verdad?...

bueno, pero es un mes lindo, con una primavera bien establecida, el sol a todo su esplendor y por supuesto, con flores por todos lados!

do you note that it is May already? This year is going fast, right? I remember being excited about the change of season in March and now every day, the heat is increasing and May is the hottest months here and sometimes the nights can become something like a sauna ... what it does we want the cool weather back... that shows that we are not satisfied with what we have, right? ...

anyway, may is a great month, with well established spring, the sun at its best and of course, with flowers everywhere!
