este quilt lo terminé anoche, mi último UFO terminado en 2009... lo hice con un jelly roll de la colección portobello market... será un regalo, pero yo no me arriesgo a decir para quién es... This quilt I finished last night, is my last UFO finished in 2009... I made it with one portobello market jelly roll... it will a gift, but I don't take a risk to say for who is it...

bueno y hace unos días mi hermana volvió de McAllen y me trajo la revista American Patchwork & Quilting de febrero 2010... yay!!! pero yo ya la había comprado... así que sorteraré una revista, si te interesa sólo deja un comentario diciéndome cuál proyecto que hayas hecho en 2009 te dejó más satisfecha (puedes dejar el link si posteaste ese proyecto)! Lo encontramos mi papá y yo el pasado domingo en un bazar callejero. Necesita un poco de reparación, pero me encantó que es un mueble pequeño que va perfecto con nuestra pequeña casa. My dad and I found it in a street bazaar last sunday. It needs some repair, but I loved it because is a small furniture that goes perfectly with our small house.

UFO No. 2

Estoy a dos dias de comenzar mis 15 días de vacaciones y eso me emociona mucho!. El invierno está tardando aquí (qué calor hizo ayer!) y tengo planes para las siguientes dos semanas. La pasaremos en casa y hay mucho por hacer aquí... mis hierbas en el jardín están creciendo (bien!), tengo mucha tela por cortar y coser y algunas recetas nuevas que quiero intentar... There are two days to start my 15 days of vacation and I'm very excited about it!. The winter is slow to arrive here (really hot was here yesterday!) and I have plans for the next two weeks. We'll stay at home and we have a lot to do here ... my herbs are growing in the garden (yay!), I have much fabric to cut and sew, and some new recipes that I want to try...

Por lo pronto tuvimos un fin de semana tranquilo. Vinieron unos amigos el sábado y la pasamos bien. El cojín de la foto lo terminé ayer y es mi segundo UFO borrado de mi lista. We had a relaxed weekend. Friends came on past saturday and we spend good time with them. The cushion of the photo I finished yesterday; is my second UFO removed of my list.

for my favorite brother...

Es como un tipo de broma entre nosotros. Siempre le digo que es mi hermano favorito y él me responde: pues claro soy tu único hermano! Is like a joke between us. I always tell him he's my favorite brother and he responds, "sure... I'm your single brother!En fin, este es el quilt que terminé para él y que es el primero de mis UFOs terminados! Ya está en su cama arropando también a Cilantro, su gato. Any way, this is the quilt I finished for him and that is the first of my UFOs finished! The quilt is now in his bed and tucking also Cilantro, his cat.

La única parte clara que yo tenía al planear este quilt es que quería que luciera masculino y creo que los colores rojo y gris ayudaron a ello (él adora el rojo!)... y me gustó cómo terminó! creo que es perfecto para un ilustrador joven y guapo! The only clear part that I had to plan this quilt is that I wanted it looks masculine and I think the red and gray colors helped it (he loves red !)... and I liked how it ended! I think it's perfect for a handsome young illustrator!
