last night

Anoche tuvimos un cielo precioso.... me encanta cuando estas en el exterior y simplemente haces una pausa para voltear hacia arriba y maravillarte con lo que tenemos ahí... anoche tuvimos una luna preciosa y muy brillante que todo el tiempo estuvo rodeada de nubes que no dejaban de pasar... yo pasé todo el día en la ciudad, gran parte en mi trabajo, algunos momentos con mi hermano en la calle, buscando y esperando algunas cosas, pero sobretodo pasé gran parte atascada en el tráfico y llegué a casa por la noche... por un momento sentí que mi jornada había pasado tan rápido que no había hecho nada para mí ni lo había disfrutado... hasta que miré hacia arriba y vi el cielo... y eso valió mi día... 

Last night we had a beautiful sky here.... I love when we are outside and just make a pause to turn up and see what we have there ... We had a gorgeous shinning moon last night that all the time was surrounded by clouds that didn't stop moving ... I spent all day in the city yesterday, many time of my job, some moments with my brother at down town looking and waiting for things and I spend many time stuck in traffic and I got home at night ... for a moment I felt that my day had passed so quickly that I didn't nothing for me or didn't enjoy so much the day... until I looked up and saw the sky ... and it was worth my day...

terminé otro mini quilt... tiene cuatro pequeños bloques de log cabin, esta vez con colores frescos y diseños modernos... mide aproximadamente 10.75".   

I finished another mini quilt... four small log cabin blocks, this time using fresh colors and modern prints... it measures aprox. 10.75" square.

qué tal va tu sábado? esta vez me levanté un poco más tarde de lo normal y después de mi amado café creo que ya estoy lista para seguir mi día... tienes planes? yo no, aquí todo luce tranquilo y con un clima de otoño perfecto, así que lo que sea que venga, yo estoy bien con ello!

how is going your Saturday?  I woke up a little later than usual today but  after my very loved coffee I think I'm ready to catch my day ... have you plans?  I'm not, but everything looks peaceful here with a perfect fall weather, so whatever is comming I'm fine with it!

lately

empezando el mes con una nueva planta en mi ventana, cocinando calabaza dulce y con nuevos proyectos que me han mantenido ocupada estos días, pues en diciembre participaré en un bazar, será mi primera vez y me emociona mucho la idea, así que estoy trabajando a tope en mi estudio...

ven ese hermoso botón de plata? es un bellísimo collar que compré en TheAngryWeather, una de mis tiendas favoritas de Etsy... no lo he dejado de usar y como ven no resistí coserle un poco.. llegó además con una tela super linda que mi querida amiga Iveth me envió como regalo... qué buena suerte! 

starting a new month...  with a new succulent plant in my window, cooking pumpkin and having new projects that kept me busy these days, because I'll participate in a handmade bazar in december, it will be my first time and I'm very exciting about it! so I'm working a lot in my sewing room... 

do you see that beautiful silver button? is a gorgeous necklace I bought in TheAngryWeather, one of my favorites Etsy shops... I've been use it every day and as you can see I couldn't resist sew a little on it.. my lovely friend Iveth sended to me also with a beautiful piece of fabric as a gift... lucky me!

washi fever

confieso que últimamente mi colección de washi tape ha aumentado. No es que estén peligrando los ahorros familiares por eso, pero he comprado mas de un par de cintas y mi hermano que recientemente hizo un viaje a Japón me trajo otras tantas... son pequeños tesoros y los uso mucho para un montón de cosas, especialmente en las envolturas de regalos y algunas otras cosas de papelería...

I must confess that my washi tape collection has been increased recently. Our family's savings are fine, but I bought more than a couple of rolls and my brother who recently made a trip to Japan brought me so many more... and I love them all.. they are like small treasures, and I use them lot, especially in gift wrapping and stationery...

not much sewing here

hola!! cómo están??
hello! how are you guys???

espero que hayan tenido un buen fin de semana. Yo si. Alex y yo tuvimos dos fiestas de cumpleaños el sábado en en ambas hubo un montón de comida, música (una con mariachi en vivo), muchas risas y pastel... ...el domingo la pasamos en casa, disfrutando de buen clima y con un delicioso asado en la terraza en compañía de nuestro mejor amigo...

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I did.  Alex and I had two birthday parties at saturday, both with a lot of food, music (one with live mariachi), laugh and cake...  also we spend the sunday in home, enjoying the great weather and having a delicious meal with our best friend at the terrace...

y aunque mi plan original para el fin incluía coser un montón, al final no pasé tiempo en mi cuarto de costura y por tanto no tengo terminado para mostrar aún, pero creo que siempre hay algo de tiempo libre para completar pendientes, sólo necesito estar un poco alejada del internet...   My original plan included sewing a lot, but at the end, I didn't spend time at the sewing room, so I haven't nothing to show you yet, but there is always some time off for finish things... just I need be a little away from the internet :)

Es una buena temporada para salir a caminar... respirar aire fresco y ver cosas lindas... como esta ventana, que me encanta!   Its a great season to go out for a walk, get some fresh air and see nice things... like this beautiful window, I love it!

y también me encanta este pequeño asomándose por esta otra ventana...

and also love so much this little guy...

...decidí tener en mi tienda un pequeño stock de estambre o cuerda de yute. Es el mismo que uso para envolver regalos y los paquetes que envío a mis queridos clientes. Es muy bonito y me encanta porque le da un toque rústico y natural a las envolturas de regalos y también se puede tejer, con gancho o aguja, usar en el jardín y muchas cosas más... así que con mucho gusto compartiré una madeja de estambre con quien quiera tenerlo, sólo tienen que dejar un comentario diciéndome cuál color les gustaría tener en caso de ganar (pueden ver todas las opciones de colores aquí). La persona que gane será elegida al azar y la anunciaré el miércoles 26 de octubre. I decided to have a little stock of jute yarn/twine in my shop. Its the same twine that I use to wrap gifts and the packages I send to my lovely costumers. It's really beautiful and I love it because it gives a rustic and natural touch to the gifts wrap and also it can be knitted, use in the garden and much more ... so I'll be happy to share a skein of yarn with one lucky one who wants it, only leave one comment here telling me wich color you would like if you win (you can see all the color options here). Autumn sunny days

después de los maravillosos días de lluvia que el huracán Jova nos dejó, estamos disfrutando también de unos hermosos días soleados. Me gusta el otoño porque de día se tiene esa luz cálida que no quema sino que pareciera que sólo acaricia... pero sus mañanas y noches frescas son mis favoritas... dan ganas de pasar tiempo afuera y escuchar el viento... pero también me provoca estar en casa, horneando, cosiendo, escuchando música, haciendo lo de diario...  After the wonderful rainy days that Hurricane Jova gave us, also we are enjoying some beautiful sunny days here. I like the Autumn because at day you have that beautiful light that doesn't burn, just seems that only has a soft and warm touch ... but the mornings and cool nights are my favorite... Autumn makes me want to spend time outside to listen the wind... and also it makes me want to being at home too, baking, sewing, listening to music, just doing the everyday...gracias por pasar, espero que estén disfrutando esta temporada...!
