a summer quilt

The original plan was make a quilt like this one, using the pattern from the book "Material Obsession", but the central squares are so big (about 16.5 inchs) and I don't have to much fabric to make them, so i made a little change because i don't want buy more fabric (wait! I DO want, but I must don't do it...). So to use what I have in my stash I cut the squares from 10" and like to make log cabin blocks, I added some stripes and finally I had the 16.5" squares that I needed for this pattern.

  1. Fantastic! I've also made a quilt out of the Material Obsession book and I love how you've taken the pattern and made it your own - love the mix of bold and modern fabric.
