corner view: front door

//la parte graciosa para mí de este corner view es que ahora mismo un carpintero está trabajando en lo que será nuestra nueva puerta de la casa... se supone que será muy linda y este tema hubiese sido perfecto para mostrarla :) the funny part to me in this coner view is that a carpenter now is working on what will be our new front door... it supposed it will be beautiful and this day would have be perfect to show it //

nuestra puerta de la casa siempre está abierta durante el día... Gumaro, Lucio y Lola pueden entrar y salir en cualquier momento y si gustas, tu también venir y entrar a tomar una buena taza de café o una cerveza helada conmigo! feliz corner view!

our front door is always open during day... that way Gumaro, Lucio and Lola can enter or go outside every moment and if you like it, you can come inside to drink a nice cup of coffee or a cold beer with me! happy corner view!

sol, amigos en la terraza, música, mariscos, cerveza, mojitos... es un hecho: la primavera ya viene! sun, friends at the terrace, music, sea food, beer, mojitos... is a fact: the spring is comming!

Perfect saturday morning: homemade granola

Después de ver distintas recetas en muchos lugares, en inglés y español, esta es mi versión: After seeing diferents recipes at many places, in english and spanish, this is my version:

4 tazas de hojuelas de avena
1/2 taza de hojuelas de coco sin endulzar
1/2 taza de amaranto
4 cucharadas de semillas de linaza
3 cucharadas de semillas de sésamo (ajonjolí)
1/4 de taza de semillas de girasol o calabaza
1/2 taza de nueces mixtas picados
2 cucharaditas de canela
1 cucharadita de sal
1/4 taza de azúcar morena
1/4 taza de aceite de canola
3 cucharadas de miel
1 cucharada de jarabe de maple puro
2 cucharaditas de extracto de vainilla puro
2 tazas de frutas secas mezcladas

Precalienta el horno a 180°C. En un tazón grande, combina todos los ingredientes excepto los frutos secos. Revuelve bien para incorporar. Extiende la mezcla en la bandeja para hornear, en una capa uniforme. Hornea de 20 a 30 minutos (dependiendo de lo dorado que te gustaría), revolviendo cada 8 minutos. Retira la granola del horno y deja enfriar completamente. Una vez que la mezcla de granola está fría, agregar y mezclar la fruta seca....... y a disfrutar!!!

4 cups oats flakes

1/2 cup unsweeteend coconut flakes
1/2 cup amaranth
4 tablespoons flax seeds
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/4 cup sunflower or pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup mixed nuts, chopped
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups mixed dried fruit

Preheat the oven to 360 °F. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients except the fruit. Stir well to incorporate. Spread the mixture on a baking sheet, spreading it out into an even layer. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes (depending on the depth of golden you want), stirring every 8 minutes. Remove the granola from the oven and and cool completely. Once the granola is cool, mix in the dried fruit..... and enjoy!!!

ventanas quilt

El top de este quilt lo hice usando 4 charm packs y tela blanca. Tardé mucho en decidir cómo usarlos y esa indecisión me sucede con algunas telas (especialmente mis favoritas) y me resulta un poco difícil escoger cómo usarlas, supongo que por miedo a equivocarme y desperdiciarlas.
Sin embargo, el resultado con este diseño me dejó satisfecha, las telas son muy lindas así que un diseño simple siempre es una buena opción

The top of this quilt I did using 4 charm packs and white cloth. take long time to me to decide how to use them, and that indecision happens to me with some fabrics (especially my favorites) and I find it a bit difficult to choose how to use them, I suppose for fear of being wrong and wasted them. However, i'm satisfied with the result of this design, the fabrics are very nice and a simple design is always a good option.

last weekend...

descubrí las primeras flores de manzanilla en mi jardín...

I discovered the first chamomille flowers at my garden...

renové las viejas cortinas blancas de nuestra habitación usando pompoms (me encantan!) y un bellísimo encaje vintage en rojo que me envió LeeAnn (muchas gracias!). El resultado fue simple pero fantástico! i renewed the old white curtains of our bedroom using pompons (i love them!) and a beautiful vintage red lace that LeeAnn send to me (many thanks!) the result was simple but fantastic!

también estuve caminando en el jardín, escuché a las aves y las hojas moviéndose y descubrí nuevos verdes en crecimiento... also I was walking in the garden, I heard the birds and the leaves moving and I discovered new growing greens...

ahhhh y le preparé a Alex unos huevos en salsa enchilosa para desyunar mientras yo tenía mis panes tostados con queso mascarpone, mermelada de fresa y leche (pura felicidad!) ahhhh and I prepared some eggs with salsa enchilosa (hot) for Alex's breakfast while i had my toast with mascarpone cheese, strawberry jam and milk (pure bliss!)

la pequeña Lola tuvo sus primeras excursiones fuera de la casa y descubrió que puede trepar árboles... the little Lola had it's first trips outside the home and she discovered that she can climb trees...

y terminé otro quilt...

March sunday

nuestro primer domingo de marzo luce bien, el clima aún está fresco pero se comienza a sentir que pronto buscaremos las sandalias que hemos olvidado desde hace tiempo... nuestro jardín está cambiando y los árboles ya presentan las primeras flores y hojas tiernas... our first sunday March looks great, the weather is still fresh but it feels like you will look soon for the sandals we've forgotten for a long time... our garden is changing and the trees are in the first flowers and young leaves...

marzo huele a duraznos...

march smells like peaches...

y marzo es perfecto para iniciar nuevos proyectos, tal vez uno portable, para hacerlo sentada en el porche mientras se escuchan ya los pájaros alrededor... and march is perfect to starting new proyects, maybe one portable, to make it while i'm sitting on the porch listening the birds around...

corner view: coffee companion

aunque suelo tomar mi café de diario sola o acompañana de Lucio, Gumaro o Lola (y me encanta estar con ellos), el mejor compañero es Alex; él no toma café pero me acompaña mientras yo lo hago y SIEMPRE está dispuesto a escuchar todas las tonterías que yo puedo decir en esos momentos... although I usually take my daily coffe morning alone or with Lucio, Gumaro or Lola (and i love be with those guys), Alex is the best companion; he doesn't drink coffee but is with me while I do it, and ALWAYS he is willing to hear all the nonsense that i can say at those moments...
